Loss Prevention

Effectively Combat Loss

Prevent missed scans and theft

With Neonode's edge-native Loss Prevention functionality, shoppers using self-checkouts can now be nudged to scan all items with a video replay showing the incident.

If a customer pockets an item, instead of scanning it, the system can be set up to directly alert security.

Do you want to add Loss Prevention  to your self-checkout solution?

Missed Scans

By tracking how products move in the self-checkout flow, the system notices when items are not added to the cart.

By reminding the shopper to correctly scan the item, the system prevents loss.

Pocketing

By following the shopper, a dynamic tracking zone is established where the system notices if items disappears after being picked up from the cart or trolley,

If an item disappears in the zone, the system will notice it. An alert can be sent to the floor manager and security staff.

Built for Integration

Our computer vision solution is built to be integrated into a host system, running on existing and new hardware.

On-device Integration

The software can be fully integrated into new or existing systems, allowing advanced computer vision functionality out of the box.

Under the Hood

Advanced Hands and Object Tracking

By tracking both shoppers’ hands and items, the system can model multiple loss scenarios and adapt easily to the natural variations in self-checkout layouts.

Dynamic and Static Zone Monitoring

You can define both static and dynamic monitoring zones, making the solution suitable for many different self-checkout layouts. With a dynamic zone, the system follows the shopper’s movement and detects when items disappear close to the body, enabling detection of theft scenarios such as pocketing.
