In-Air Interaction Using Holographic Images
Holographic Solutions
Revolutionary holographic technology can create in-air projections of your user interface for a real wow factor.
Couple projected images with our Touch Sensor Modules and you can create fully interactive in-air holograms that can be pushed, swiped, spun and even written on.
Holographic technology uses mirrored projection plates positioned at specific angles to redirect light emanating from ordinary LCD displays and concentrate it into a position equal distance from the plate, creating a floating image.

Interactive areas can be configured into projected images via our user-friendly zForce Programmer tool. These settings change how the sensor module handles touch input data, making it possible to create fully interactive, multi-touch experiences that can be operated using any input device, such as fingers, rubber, fabric or plastic.
Holographic plates provide the added benefit of making images invisible when viewed from an obscure angle. This provides enhanced user privacy, making it an excellent solution when dealing with personal information such as passwords or pin codes.
Why Holographic
How it Works
The light reflective technology of the Touch Sensor Module allows users to make responsive areas on projected images, allowing for complete in-air interaction. This is made possible via our proprietary zForce® technology, which accurately identifies and traces objects by detecting reflected infrared light beams.
To create the hologram, a projection plate consisting of at least two layers of mirror is positioned at a 45° angle, relative to the display, and redirects light to create a floating image. The Touch Sensor Module can then be positioned underneath the projection plate and configured to cover the projected image, making it possible to interact with the in-air interface by simply touching it.
The holographic display solution can be configured quickly with our zForce Programmer tool. To create a custom solution on a system of your choice, please refer to our guide on how to get started with software integration. For further help or information, the Neonode Support Team is happy to help.
